Earthquake Strikes Father Wilson’s Home Town

The 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the Philippines on Tuesday had its epicenter on the island of Bohol which is the home of Fr. Wilson’s family.  Their home sustained some damage, but, fortunately, none of his family was injured.  Sadly, his parish church and many centuries-old churches on the island crumbled. The photo above is from his niece’s facebook page.  It shows his hometown church. Note the insert of the same church as it looked before Tuesday’s earthquake.

Father has been in touch with his family and says that they are well and coping with the situation.  He learned that, because of fear of aftershocks, his family and their neighbors are being asked to stay out of their houses.  They are living on the front lawns.

Please keep Fr. Wilson, his family and their neighbors in your prayers.
