St. Michael’s Parishioners Celebrate Year of Faith Closing Mass

On Sunday, November 24, five of St. Michael’s parishioners, Sister Loretta, Susan Knasko, Sister Pat, Jeannette Smith, Kitty O’Dowd and Seminarian Hermes Diaz, represented our parish in a Mass celebrating the Closing of the Year of Faith. The celebration took place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Newark.

In his homily, Archbishop Myers reminded the participants that, in our parishes and in our lives, the Year of Faith is a beginning – the beginning of a renewed commitment to bring Christ’s message into our world. The Archbishop asks us, when we exit our parish church each week, to call to mind the message placed at one church's exit doors. The message read, “You Are Entering Mission Territory.”
